Bengal defeated Haryana by an innings and 50 runs in an Elite Group A match at the Ch Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rotec. Fast bowler Akash Deep picked up a five-wicket haul and made sure that Bengal bowled Haryana out for 206 in their second innings while following on.
Deep won the Player of the Match award after he picked up 10 wickets in the match and scored 22 runs off 18 balls with three sixes.
Rajasthan beat Chhattisgarh by 167 runs in an Elite Group C match at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. After being asked to chase 430, Chhattisgarh were bowled out for 262. Anuj Tiwary and Shashank Singh scored fifties but their efforts couldn’t pay dividends.
Manav Suthar became the Player of the Match after he picked up 10 wickets, including a match-winning six-wicket haul in the second innings.
In another match, Jharkhand beat Pondicherry by 10 wickets in Elite Group C at Cricket Association Puducherry Ground 2 in Puducherry. After being asked to chase down 73, their opening batters Kumar Deborat and Aryaman Sen stayed unbeaten to take their team home.
